Career Focus Program

Looking for a job?  Contemplating a career change? 
EAP, also known as the Career Focus Program, assists spouses and other authorized personnel with obtaining employment in the local area.  The EAP manager works with area employers and various other organizations to gain job referrals for program participants.  Participation in this program empowers participants to increase their marketability and employability through assessments, job search skills development and career planning.

Services Include
Workshops

  Resume Basics - Learn how to write the type of resume and cover letter that will get the employers attention.  This class is held on the first Thursday of every month.  Call the Airman & Family Readiness Center to sign up.

Interviewing Skills - Learn how to interview with confidence.  Be prepared for an on-the-spot interview.  Learn appropriate attire for interviews as well as questions to expect and how to answer them.

Federal Employment Seminar - Representatives from Civilian Personnel and Human Resources talk about the federal application and hiring process.  Employment opportunities locally and nationwide are discussed.  Check the AFRC Calendar of Events for dates and times.

Individual Assistance
  One-on-one appointments are available with members of our Employment Assistance team.  We can help you refine your resume and cover letter, hone your interviewing skills with mock interviews and critiques or guide you in your search for a career.

Resource Center
  The Airman & Family Readiness Center has a fully stocked Discovery Center at your disposal.  Available for check-out are numerous books on resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, job search, transition, etc.  Staff members are on hand to help you.  We also offer the Discover Program, a web-based program to help you discover the career field best suited for you.  Computers and printers are available to assist you in your job search or preparation of your resume.

Job List
  A listing of advertised jobs in the local area is available for pickup at the Airman& Family Readiness Center.  This listing is also available via email or by clicking the link on the Career Focus page.  The job list is updated every Friday.
