We're happy to hear that you will be joining us in Clovis. Clovis is an outstanding community with a heart as big as the New Mexico skies.
Clovis is home to Cannon Air Force Base (CAFB), located in Eastern New Mexico. Eastern New Mexico prides itself in actively supporting the military in every way possible. A hugely successful local, regional, state-wide, and federal Operation Keep Cannon campaign to save Cannon Air Force Base from closure was recently completed with banners, rallies, lobbying, and grass-root activities to ensure CAFB remained home for active duty personnel and their families. The announcement of a Special Operations mission resulted in a town party complete with VIP speakers, a community parade, and a daylong celebration in the streets of Clovis. Since the announcement, signs and banners resonate throughout the area welcoming Special Ops “New Mexico style”.
Packing up and PCS'ing is the last thing all want to do, especially when don’t have a clue about the place where are going. We are here to ease your concerns, help, and work closely with you, the military spouse, in making that transition as easy as possible.
The Eastern Plains Council of Governments (EPCOG) and Eastern Area Workforce Development Board (EAWDB ) are coordinating with the Hurlburt Field Airman &Family Readiness Center located in Florida to provide wealth of information regarding opportunities for employment, training, and educational opportunities in Clovis and Portales. There are many scholarships and programs available for military spouses and their families affected by BRAC and we want you to know all about them.
We are here to direct you toward resources you need to alleviate your concerns about your new PCS move.
So sit back and relax, explore this site and find out what is out there for you, the military spouse.
Your friends in Clovis are ready to help and welcome you to our great city.

“Clovis is truly a community with a bright future. Please know that you will always find a friendly smile and a warm handshake that lets you know we are glad you're here. Come and see us. You will be glad you did.”
Mayor, David Lansford
